The American Season – Las Vegas Baseball

The season is upon us, spring has given way to summer and you’ve probably been following the baseball season for quite some time already, and why wouldn’t you be? Baseball is America’s sport and you don’t have to give it up just because you’re on the road.

Of course, while you’re staying at the Las Vegas RV Resort you can catch it on tv, but why not actually get out into the stands and enjoy the feel of the game with the excitement and atmosphere that comes from watching a live game in person.

Aliens!

If there’s one thing that people associate with Nevada besides Las Vegas, it is aliens, thanks to the presence of Area 51, a classified portion of Edwards Air Force Base. With that association in mind, the local team is known as the Las Vegas 51s.

This minor league team is associated with the New York Mets and has been since 2012. However, this deal is ending this year. There’s no indication of who the next team will be and we’re not likely to know before October of this year.

Campground for Las Vegas Baseball

New Home for Las Vegas Baseball

The Las Vegas 51s are currently playing at Cashman Field, which has a capacity of 9,334 people. However, just as the partner is changing in the next season, so will the 51s home field. They’ll be moving to the Las Vegas Ballpark, located in Summerlin.

With a capacity of 10,000 seats it will be able to handle all that the modern game needs. In the meantime you can catch a game in person at Cashman Field, or if you just want to stay in the cool A/C you can catch them on KBAD 920 AM radio.
