Bodies…The Exhibition
Over at the Luxor there’s an amazing exhibit that will tell you all about the human body in ways you’ve never seen before. The bodies exhibition features 13 whole-body specimens and more than 260 organs and partial body specimens.
They bodies have all been dissected and preserved through a unique process. All of them are on display in order to show you how amazing and complex these bodies that we steward are. The bodies receive a presentation in a respectful manner with the intention of helping to educate rather than generate shock value.
Body Part Comparisons
Getting in will run you about $32 for general admission. At the exhibit, you’ll get a close up look at your skeletal, muscular, respiratory, and circulatory system. Using actual human specimens shows you just exactly what kind of damage is done to your organs by things like overeating or lack of exercise.
Additionally, you’ll see a healthy lung next to a black lung that’s been damaged by smoking, a much starker comparison than just looking at an image.
