Though it’s located in the desert, Vegas still manages to capture the essence of a winter wonderland in December. Many of the artistic winter displays don’t cost a dime to marvel at too. Here is a list of free things to do while on your December Vegas RV Vacation.
One of The Best Free Things To Do On Any Vegas RV Vacation Is To Walk The Strip
Usually, right after Thanksgiving, the famous Las Vegas Strip and the Fremont Street Experience area get a Christmas makeover. Trees, ornaments, lights, and other decorations fill the casinos and surrounding streets. It’s an experience in itself to simply stroll through the spaces and marvel at what must be quite an undertaking for a once-a-year decoration effort.
Winter Wonderland at ARIA Resort & Casino
Those who step into the ARIA Resort & Casino lobby are greeted by the sweetest winter display they have ever seen.
“Handcrafted by a team of ARIA pastry chefs that constructed the creation from beginning to end in 200 working hours, fun facts of the display include:
- An exquisite snow globe with a base made from 200 sugar panels; inside the globe, a hot cocoa cup is filled with tasty treats such as a large candy cane, colorful bears, a happy snowman, and other holiday confections.
- Tall trees handmade with 1000 French Macarons.
- Sugar cubes that each weigh 7-15 pounds.
- A 6 foot-tall gingerbread man made with 100 pounds of dark chocolate.
- Teal, dark blue, hot pink, light pink and yellow bears each handcrafted with 15 pounds of sugar.
- Entire display required over 150 pounds of fondant, 600 pounds of sugar and 550 pounds of chocolate” – Vegas Publicity.
This free display is on display through January 8th, 2022.

The holiday display is available for guests to enjoy for free 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from November 20, 2021 – January 1, 2022.
