Last time we talked about an activity you might not associate with the Las Vegas area, golfing. Today we thought we’d discuss some of the Vegas area golf courses near Las Vegas RV Resort.
If money is no object, then it is hard not to recommend a visit to Shadow Creek in North Las Vegas. This 18-hole golf course is out near Nellis Air Force Base and was designed by Tom Fazio. It features lakes, waterfalls, rolling hillsides, and every kind of tree they could coax to grow here. If you just woke up here, you wouldn’t even know you were in Nevada.
A great option that won’t empty out your pockets is Las Vegas Paiute Golf Course – Wolf course. 7,604 yards with 18-holes and designed by Pete Dye, this course will test your skills. This is possibly one of the toughest courses around.
You will notice it everywhere with rippled fairways, alternate landing areas, fake fairways. That’s before you factor in the constant wind. If you’re looking for a challenge at a course that isn’t too pricey and because of its distance from the Strip (30 minutes) isn’t crowded, this is the one for you.
Bali Hai Golf Course
If you’re looking for something a little closer to the Strip, then consider the Bali Hai. Because of its location it will be a little more expensive than the Wolf and more crowded. If that doesn’t bother you, then you’re going to have a great time. This 7,002-yard course was designed by Schmidt/Curley and offers over 4,000 trees, 2,500 palms, and more. It was ranked as one of the top 40 courses by Golf Week.
