Off Roading in Las Vegas Was Never This Good

Being situated in the high desert, Las Vegas offers some world-class trails. If you don’t have a 4×4, there are rentals and guided tour options in the area. So, if you’re ready for some great off-roading in Las Vegas adventures check out one of these three trails:

Robber’s Roost Trail

This is a 0.4 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Mount Charleston that offers the opportunity to enjoy spotting wildlife. It’s rated as a moderate-level trail that is primarily used for hiking and rock-climbing. The elevation gain is 236 feet.

From Las Vegas, head north on U.S. Highway 95, to State Route 157 west. Transfer onto State Route 158. Continue for about 3.2 miles north on State Route 158 (Deer Creek Road) from State Route 157 (Kyle Canyon Road). You’ll find the parking area on the right and the trail to the left.

Angel Peak Trail

A typically stock-friendly trail, that can become treacherous due to a few very steep sections and loose rocks on both sides of the mountain. So, stock vehicles should only run the trail in optimal conditions.

The trail is often run from northeast to southwest, but can be run from either direction. At the top you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the Las Vegas Valley as well as the surrounding Spring Mountains, including Mt. Charleston. From the northeast, the road starts at US 95 a few miles past the Kyle Canyon turn off.
