The Lights Are On In Las Vegas

Great news for gaming enthusiasts! After months of uncertainty, casinos were allowed to re-open – with a few restrictions – as of June 6th.

You can now try your luck at Treasure Island, Wynn, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mirage Las Vegas, New York-New York, Caesars Palace, Circus Circus, The D, Golden Nugget, and the Venetian. More casinos are re-opening every day.

Safe-distancing is the new normal. Look for table games to have limited numbers of players, slot machines open every other one, and craps tables spacing people out. All employees – including dealers, pit bosses, bartenders, and servers are wearing masks – you should too.

Don’t Park – Drive! Take a Memorable Day Trip

If you feel like doing something different, hop in that car and drive…to The Valley of Fire. Just about an hour’s drive down I-15 from Las Vegas, Valley of Fire State Park will amaze you with its unique rock formations, petroglyphs, dazzling geologic colors, and endless vistas. Good roads that wind up and down among the incredible variety of environments, temperatures, and elevations make these stunning views accessible.

Hike the red rock formations from the top of Mt Charleston (12000 ft) to Badwater Basin (282 ft below sea level). And be sure to visit the intriguingly named ‘Fire Wave.’ Follow the half-mile path through ancient rocks until you finally arrive at the Fire Wave itself…an undulating swirl of red, orange, and ivory veins, topped with flame tips of projecting sand stone.

Hiking is even better with the milder Autumn temperatures that are coming soon, but take plenty of bottled water with you anyway.

When you have had enough excitement for one day, c’mon back to Las Vegas RV Resort and refresh yourself in the sparkling clean, cool, clear waters of our swimming pool.

Take a tip from Kris J, who wrote on Facebook

“This park is extremely clean and we really enjoyed the pool. The employees are helpful and pleasant! Actually a great location, we were able to drive or take a Lyft wherever we wanted to go.”
