The Newest Things to Do in Las Vegas

Tired of the casinos? Or maybe you’re not, but you want to mix things up a bit and you think you’ve done it all? Think again.

There’s ALWAYS something new to do in this town. So we’ve gathered up a list of new attractions, both on The Strip and on Fremont Street.

New Things to Do on the Las Vegas Strip

Arcadia Earth Las Vegas

Located in the Showcase Mall across the street from Park MGM is Arcadia Earth. It has been dubbed “an immersive augmented reality journey through planet Earth” and is a feast for the eyes. This is a wonderful, trippy way to drive awareness of environmental changes facing the planet. Consisting of 15 rooms, visitors get treated to a 3D festival of art to both educate and entertain. Get tickets here.

The Escape Game

Escape rooms are all the rage because they’re just plain FUN. This one is located in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. They offer escape room scenarios to challenge you to escape from prison, find a stash of gold before the mob does, and recover a lost painting, among others. Get tickets here.

Superfrico at Cosmopolitan

A wonderful dinner concept, Superfrico is the brainchild of the folks at Spiegelworld, who are also behind the shows “Absinthe,” “Atomic Saloon,” and “Opium.” They typically serve ‘Italian American Psychedelic’ cuisine, but the real draw is the acts, which can be on the raunchy side! Visit their website to find out more and to book reservations.

Van Gogh at Crystals

The popular nationwide event comes to Las Vegas in this immersive celebration of Van Gogh. Even if you aren’t an art fan, this is a must-do. Step inside the artist’s iconic works in what amounts to a 500,000 cubic foot canvas. You’ll be wowed with classic works such as “Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “The Potato Eaters” as they come to life and engulf you. Get tickets here.

Museum of Selfies

As the name implies, this museum pays homage to the almighty selfie craze. It is a new addition to the Linq Promenade, offering a variety of backdrops for the perfect….wait for it…selfie. A great way to spend a goofy afternoon with the family (or solo!) and take home some great selfie pics.

The NatGeo Rarely Seen Photographic Exhibition

Located in Bally’s, this exhibit features 50 “once in a lifetime” moments caught on film from around the world. With locations such as New Zealand, Australia, Vatican City, and Thailand, this is sure to wow even the most discerning of visitors. Get tickets here.

New Things to Do on Fremont Street

Sand Dollar Lounge at Plaza

This fun lounge is officially open! Located off Plaza’s casino floor, it’s the newest destination for live music lovers. The Sand Dollar aims to resurrect the energy of rock’s golden era. See their website for shows and times.

Movie Prop Experience

Located in Neonopolis, The Movie Prop Experience is downtown Vegas’ newest museum dedicated to featuring props used in hit TV shows and movies. Just a few of the iconic items currently on display is Han Solo encased in carbonite, Wolverine’s claws, and Iron Man’s hand.

Other Locales in Vegas

Omega Mart at Area15

Area15 is a large entertainment complex just off The Strip. What appears to be simply a supermarket from the outside, Omega Mart contains some truly unique items you’re not likely to find anywhere else! Dig deeper in this store to uncover “portals” ready to transport you to another world where you’ll enjoy a feast for the eyes.

Also at Area15, don’t miss LIFTOFF. An outdoor attraction that looks and behaves like a hot air balloon. Once you board, you will climb 130 feet and get an amazing view of Las Vegas. You can even purchase a cocktail to take with you as you board!
